Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Lapse, a mobile application developed by Minalogic ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Lapse, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The App

Lapse lets you create timelapse videos from photos of the same subject over time. It detects and aligns faces on your device so your subject stays centered across frames, and it lets you export and share the result.

2. Licence to Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Lapse on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in accordance with the rules of the app store you obtained it from.

3. Eligibility

Lapse is not directed at children under 13, and you must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and meet the app store's minimum age) to use it. By using the app you confirm that you meet these requirements.

4. Your Content

Your photos and videos are yours. Lapse processes them on your device to build your timelapse. We do not claim ownership of your content, we do not upload it to our servers, and there is no Lapse backend that stores it. You are responsible for the photos you add and for having the right to use them.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Lapse to:

• process images of people without a lawful basis or, where required, their consent;
• create or share content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or infringes others' rights;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code except to the extent permitted by law;
• circumvent usage limits, licensing, or security measures, or misuse the app in a way that harms other users or the service.

6. Subscriptions & Purchases

Lapse is free to use with a watermark on exports. Optional purchases unlock more:

• Lapse Pro — a subscription (monthly or yearly) or a one-time lifetime purchase that removes the watermark and lifts limits on photos per project.
• Export token packs — one-time consumable purchases.

7. Third-Party Services

Lapse works with third-party services, and your use of them is subject to their terms: the Apple App Store and Google Play (distribution and billing), RevenueCat (subscription management), and — if you choose to import from Google Photos — Google's services under the Google API Services User Data Policy. 8. Intellectual Property

Lapse, including its software, design, name, and logo, is owned by Minalogic and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or branding.

9. Disclaimer

Lapse is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that face detection and alignment will be accurate for every photo. You use the app at your own discretion and risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Minalogic will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of Lapse. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app (if any) in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Changes to the App & These Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue features of Lapse at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we'll revise the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using Lapse at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer-protection rights you may have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
